Assignment 03
Portfolio: Editing & Documentation

Week 3
This week, refine and complete your portfolio. Focus on art direction. Understand that the way you present the work is a component to your portfolio design. The way you show work in context or document the work affects the work itself.

A crucial step to designing your portfolio is editing. Your job this week is to critically evaluate and organize your work. Document your work by photographing, scanning, or rendering your final pieces. My suggestions: Keep it simple, display the work in the best possible manner, and don’t let the design of the presentation overshadow the work itself.

Mock-Ups
Understand that mock-ups exist, and within the industry they have become a way to show work in context. With great power, comes great responsibility. Make sure your mock-ups make sense for your project, and enhance rather than overshadow the work. Consider using AI to make your own, custom mockups that you can art direct yourself.
