Collective Essay: Week Ⅱ - Book
Design a front cover and back cover for your collective essay book. Use the title “Essays on Graphic Design: 1932-2024”. Design additional end papers after the example books we reviewed in class (book 1, book 2). Include a list of all the essays and authors below in the design in your book covers and end papers.
Finish the design of your signature and print 21 copies for next class. Make sure to consider the page imposition, and use InDesign’s Print Booklet feature.

Learning Outcomes
Typographic Proficiency: Demonstrate the ability to select an appropriate typeface and apply typography principles for legible and visually appealing text. Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to design details such as spacing, kerning, and consistency to create a cohesive and well set document.
Background
You will be sewing signatures together to create a text block. This text block will be covered similar to the references we discussed in class. There are many tutorials you can reference and follow on the internet, including the video above. The book binding method you are using is considered “kettle stitch” binding.
