10 Years

Intro by Wendell Maxey

Believe it or not, but you have been around the world and back again with us at Full Court Peace.

From launching our vision back in 2006 in Belfast, Ireland, to the four year outreach program in Juarez, Mexico, to refurbish basketball courts, distribute donated shoes and bring two countries together through our passion projects in Cuba, you guys have played a part in making all of these trips happen.

Think about that for a minute…

Amazing.

Thanks also to our commitment in Connecticut, FCP has painted courts, led basketball camps and clinics, held fundraising campaigns and mentored youth throughout Fairfield County.

It is one thing to generously give of your financial resources to FCP, but you have also given us your valuable time as well and that is something we are very thankful as we continue to make a local, national, global and social impact through the game of basketball.

Join us as we reflect on 10 Years of Full Court Peace and the hoops journey ahead.

History

For the last 10 years, Full Court Peace (501(c)3 Nonprofit) has united, strengthened and educated communities and cultures through basketball in the United States and around the world. With roots in Belfast, Ireland, Juarez, Mexico, Havana & Cojímar, Cuba and our inner city work bringing black and white kids together in Connecticut, FCP has refurbished courts, conducted camps, distributed donated sneakers in underprivileged areas and built lasting relationships that cross racial and socioeconomic boundaries. This is our timeline of events, from our beginning to now.

2009

The Future

In August, 2016, Full Court Peace returned to Belfast on a basketball outreach trip to commemorate our anniversary and help launch another 10 years of service. FCP remains committed to making a local and global impact through installing and repairing basketball courts, leading youth basketball programs, encouraging FCP High School Clubs, embarking on service learning trips to Cuba, holding fundraising events and sharing our story of Full Court Peace through our social media channels. But none of this is possible without you and your support.
